Are you ready to try one of the most exciting sports in the world? Ski Jumping is the original extreme sport. There is nothing like the feeling of free flight. Imagine yourself flying through the air like an eagle soaring. Boys, girls, men and women have been doing it in the metro area for over 100 years!

The Minneapolis Ski Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving youths of all ages the opportunity to try Nordic sports in the Minneapolis / St. Paul metro area. The club is based at the Bush Lake Ski Jumps in Bloomington, just southwest of the Highway 100 and Interstate 494 interchange.

PARENTS!
Are you looking for a sport your child can excel in while learning lessons that can be applied throughout their lives? Look no further. The ski jumping community has always encouraged positive growth in young men and women. Though relatively small, it’s filled with wonderful caring people who are always looking out for the best interest of the children involved. Life long friends are made by children and parents alike.
Many parents see ski jumping as too risky of a sport but in reality it’s very safe. Children start on small jumps that limit the speed and distance they are traveling. When a child builds the skills and confidence on one hill they move up to a slightly larger hill. The cycle continues and by the time they reach the large jumps we see in the Olympics, they are very much professional’s at the sport.
There are few sports in the world that can offer a child so many positive facets. Ski jumpers young and old will tell you how much the sport and its community means to them.
We encourage you to bring your child to watch ski jumping in person and allow us to show you what a rewarding sport it can be.
